call to Context function is hanging

I am having a problem with a call to the context function hanging my application.

The demo app plays fine on my system.

The code is VS2005 VB.NET

f_top_banner = New f_in_box__control

f_top_banner.Context = "my context number"

This call never returns.

It works fine on some systems but not all.

The OS is Vista 64 and I am compiling for x86.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
